Contact information: company name; full address (city, state, zip code, and country); phone, fax, email address, and website; firm type, capital under management, and year founded; executive name, title, work email, and direct phone number; plus a firm description and branch office locations. Investment criteria: minimum and maximum investment size, types of financing offered, stage preferences, industry preferences, and geographic preferences.

Downloadable software, not a web portal. The full database installs on your computer, works offline, and lets you export the records you need. There's no recurring web subscription required to keep using the edition you purchased.

Yes. You can export contact lists to Excel (.xlsx) or CSV for your own outreach, research, and internal use within the scope of your licence. Reselling or redistributing the data is not permitted — see our Terms of Use for details.

Venture capital and private equity firms can request inclusion by completing the Get Listed questionnaire. Submissions are reviewed for the next edition of the database.

Yes. A free trial is available on the Download page for both Windows and macOS. The trial is fully functional — every search filter, browsing tool, and export feature works exactly as in the full product — but it contains a limited sample of firm data so you can evaluate the software before buying.

VCPro Database 2026 is a one-time purchase of $119.95, which includes a free annual update in January 2027. Existing customers can upgrade at a discounted renewal price of $89.95. See the Purchase page for current pricing.

VCPro Database is delivered by digital download. Checkout is handled by Stripe or FastSpring, and once your order is processed and authorised you'll receive an email with download instructions.

The standard purchase is a single-user licence: you may install and use the database on one computer for your own internal business or personal use. Full terms are in our Terms of Use.

VCPro Database runs on both Windows and macOS.

• Windows: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, or 11; a 1 GHz or faster x86/x64 processor; 1 GB RAM.
• macOS: macOS 10.13 or higher; 2 GB RAM.

An internet connection is needed to download the product. After installation, the database works offline — searching, filtering, and browsing profiles requires no connection. Only the one-click links out to firm websites and email addresses need to be online.

A new edition is published twice a year, in January and July. Each edition is researched and reviewed before release.

Existing customers can upgrade to the latest edition at a discounted renewal rate through the Renewal page rather than paying full price again.

Every edition is researched and reviewed before release, and we work to keep records accurate as of each edition's publication date. That said, the venture capital industry changes constantly — firms move, merge, and change personnel — so no directory can guarantee every record is current at the moment you use it. Renewing to the latest edition is the best way to stay up to date.
