He serves as the Editor of VCPro Database, known for being the world's first downloadable venture capital directory. Doug has been in this role since 1998 and has made valuable contributions to the growth and development of the database.
Previously, from 1990 to 1997, Doug served as the research editor of the Asian Venture Capital Journal (AVCJ), a reliable source of information on venture capital activities in the Asia-Pacific region. He also edited the Guide to Venture Capital in Asia, a comprehensive source book covering the Asian venture capital and private equity industry as well as the United States, Canada, and Europe. Doug's work was instrumental in making the guide an indispensable resource for venture capital fundraising, investment, and divestment activity in the Asia-Pacific region.
Doug holds an M.Sc. degree in Computer-Based Information Systems from the University of Sunderland, UK, reflecting his academic background and expertise in information technology. His extensive experience and contributions to venture capital research have earned him a reputation as a highly respected professional.
